Relatives Raising Kids
Supporting Kids and Caregivers - Our Relatives Raising Kids Program was launched to support caregivers in this community who are raising kids that are from extended family or non-family members.
How we provide support:
Educational Programs for children and caregivers, such as Budgeting, Parenting and Cooking Matters
Connecting caregivers to outside resources like legal aid representation, social workers and support groups
Ease emotional struggles by listening, encouraging, and referring to professional counseling as requested
Assistance in providing for needs that may fall outside of our traditional programming
To qualify for assistance through this program, caregivers should be prepared to show:
Proof of address in the Shively Area Ministries service area (40216 ZIP code)
A picture ID
Social Security Cards for all in household, including children
Other items as needed, determined by type of assistance
